Answer:

Burner grates are made of cast iron with a matte black porcelain coated finish. If porcelain chips off, cast iron will be exposed and may rust. If this occurs, new grates may be needed.

  • Burner grates maybe become discolored with normal use. Refer to How to Clean Burner Grates for more information.
  • Wolf does not suggest painting burner grates if the finish is worn, faded, or chipped. A new grate is needed.
  • Refer to the product Use and Care Guide for further information.
